EU Fact Checker Network: Mobilizing Youth and Journalists for Enhanced Democratic Resilience
We are excited to introduce the EU Fact Checker Network, a transformative EU initiative designed to enhance media literacy, counter disinformation, and promote gender equality in the digital age. By engaging a wide range of stakeholders—youth, educators, journalists, policymakers, and civil society organizations—this project tackles the pressing challenges of misinformation and foreign interference that threaten European democracy.
With activities spanning multiple EU countries, including Belgium, France, Spain, Hungary, and Slovenia, the project will deliver:
- Educational Resources: Multilingual toolkits and a user-friendly online platform to enhance access and learning.
- Workshops and Campaigns: Youth-led media campaigns, storytelling workshops, and community outreach events to foster critical thinking and active citizenship.
- Innovative Tools: Media literacy comic e-books and online courses to engage diverse audiences creatively.
- Policy Advocacy: Sensitization seminars to influence and strengthen democratic frameworks at the EU level.
