Eu For YOUth is a cooperation partnership involving organizations from Belgium, Romania, Italy and Slovakia.
This project’s vision is to counter Euroscepticism among youth by using art methods, non-formal education, and the model of microlearning, with emphasis on EU common values, the common social and cultural heritage, the principle of unity and diversity.
Our project is motivated by the most significant challenges that the European Union is facing: the spread of Euroscepticism and the increase of extremist movements across Europe, where young people are the preferred target for manipulation and radicalization.
We chose art, as research and study cases show that it is an effective way for youth to organise experiences and construct ideas about themselves and the world they live in. Moreover, we found that today there is a lack of manuals, tools, and resources to show how to set up art-based activities about European topics.
Today, Europe is looking to find complementary ways to engage and activate young people in shaping EU youth policies. The traditional communication methods are not straightforward for young people, especially those who live in rural areas, with socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and disadvantaged cultural backgrounds.
Through our project we aim to activate young people through art-based methods in order to engage them in youth policies, to involve them into society and to promote EU values. We will use methods such as painting/printing, handcrafting, tailoring, photography, theatre, dance (flashmob), because art is the most effective tool to express ideas in the current society.
Young people will tell their stories expressing what they think about the European Union and its values.
DIGI-BREAKER PLUS is a cooperation partnership composed of 6 organizations from 5 countries (BE, BG, IT, LT, SWE) whose aim is to design comprehensive solutions for creating new career opportunities for unemployed adults, through a strategy that aims at widening the adoption of digital guidance services and increasing their establishment inside local communities, setting the conditions for developing a cascade effect in the involved countries and at European level.
DIGI-BREAKER PLUS will design, develop and test a sustainability-based digital skills framework (that will be exploited in form of e-book and MOOC for adult learners/employment counsellors) that will support the uptake of a digital, green, open and multi-channelling approach to career guidance, fostering the creation of a stronger dialogue between unemployed adults and career counsellors/adult educators and creating a general awareness of how digital sustainability could be embedded in the job search process.
The DIGI-BREAKER PLUS consortium is composed of a European alliance of Adult Education Centers with consistent expertise in the application of digital technologies within their daily practices. We are interested in favouring the exchange and sharing of their competencies and networks, with the objective of guaranteeing the widest impact and dissemination opportunities both at the national and European levels.
Some artists find it hard to fit into this new digital environment and the most recent groundbreaking innovations are even harder to digest. In particular, innovations such as blockchain and associated digital products (cryptocurrencies) started to completely overturn the way many markets operate. Art is no exception. Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are blockchain-based digital objects which can be associated with art items to certify their uniqueness, therefore preventing multiple copies and increasing their value (for digital art) and accounting for authenticity (for physical art). The project aims at making these new exciting technologies fully available to artists in the field of comics. By helping artists in building up new skills, the project aims at increasing their competitiveness in an increasingly technological market where they risk exclusion and marginalization if they stick to traditional means of production and marketing. The project also meets New Technology priority, as made clear by the focus on NFTs which has recently turned the art market upside down and aims at contributing to the Sustainability priority as well, in that it wants to further the use of greener blockchain-related products, as compared to the current, energy-consuming ones.
- Marketplace: a trading platform where comic artists and illustrators can publish their drawings, sketches and original plates to be sold and purchased as Non-Fungible Tokens;
- Green currency: an Ethereum-based token to be used as a low-energy currency for purchasing on the marketplace while contributing to keep energy consumption under control;
- Massive Open Online Course: a comprehensive MOOC to train comic artists and illustrators on how to use the above project results in a fair and revenue-generating way.

Comusyc project will develop a comprehensive and cross-sectoral strategy that will increase the intercultural and transnational dialogue between young people, using creativity and art as fundamental tools for mediating and building bridges. A high number of reports and studies reveal how social marginalization continues to represent a widely diffused phenomenon in contemporary Europe, in particular in the Mediterranean region. Young individuals who are struggling to find a pathway in their transition from study to work tend to loosen their ties with their communities, becoming uninterested in the economic, social and political reality of the country and continent where they live and losing any trust in the possibility of becoming active members of their society. Comusyc project aims to play an active role in fighting again the risk of social exclusion, providing tools and strategies for keeping open the lines of dialogue with marginalized youth, helping them in expressing their fears, and valorizing their key competencies and skills in an open Europe. The use of creativity will allow these young people to become active members of a democratic Europe, supporting them in rethinking their possibilities to find new opportunities in the labour market.
The project aims to deliver outputs related to social inclusion and integration through the re-evaluation of local and European cultural heritage and the local community building and co-production, sustainable development, and European sense of belonging. To fight isolation and social exclusion we will develop a program based on co-production and inclusive practices between individuals that are experiencing social and economic exclusions, such as the populations that live in depressed and depopulated rural areas. Also, members of depopulated areas from different EU countries will be linked together, connected in an intra-European network providing best practices and support. The local populations will feel empowered and the training provided by the project, including the links developed with partners’ countries, will give the target group the necessary tools to learn to coproduce and generate development.

RDE is a consortium composed of 5 organizations from 5 countries. In each country involved is represented an Adult Education provider.
The public consultation seeks to gather the views and experiences of all citizens, institutions and organisations from the public and private sectors on the unprecedented coronavirus crisis, the related switch to distance and online learning, and their vision for the future of digital education in Europe.
The public consultation will be open until 4 September 2020.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we witnessed the largest disruption to education and training in Europe’s recent history. 100 million students, teachers and education staff globally have been affected, and many of them have turned to digital education to continue the academic year. For many, this has been the first time they have fully used digital technologies for teaching and learning. With this public consultation, we would like to understand and learn from all these experiences. We are all part of this discussion – let us work together and ensure that the new Digital Education Action Plan paves the way for truly inclusive and high quality digital education in Europe.”
The consultation will help to inform the Commission’s proposal for a renewed Digital Education Action Plan, expected in September 2020. A series of online outreach events will be organised during the summer to collect additional input on the lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis and the future of digital education; further complementing the process.
Digital transformation is one of the Commission’s priorities as set out in its flagship strategy, A Europe fit for the digital age. The new Digital Education Action Plan will form a key aspect of the Next Generation EU recovery instrument. The Action Plan will support Member States, education and training institutions and citizens in their efforts to adapt to the digital transition and help ensure a fair and inclusive recovery for all.
The consultation will be available in all EU official languages on 9 July 2020.
ACTIVET – ACcess To Inclusive Vocational and Educational Training environments
As underlined by Cedefop (2019), in presence of a mismatch between the learners’ expectations and the reality of the profession, “work-based training can also be discouraging and lead to drop-out”. This situation could be comprehensibly more challenging for disabled individuals, that often find themselves in a condition of strong distress in the workplace. Following the recommendation of the European Disability Strategy 2010-20 of the European Commission, ACTIVET aims to tackle this issue, increasing disabled individuals’ participation in the workplace and their self-awareness of their competencies, through “information exchange and mutual learning”.
ACTIVET aims at providing a strategy for guaranteeing stronger access of disabled individuals to employment, thanks to the development of tailor-made educational and training pathways that respond directly to their specific needs and expectations. The quality of WBL schemes is even more relevant for people with disabilities, pushed away from the labour market because of their vulnerability. More specifically, ACTIVET recognised that even today’s disabled workers are forced to face transitions between jobs, organizations, and occupations more frequently than ever before.
This goal will be implemented thanks to the definition of a pathway to achieve the following objectives:
- Fostering the skills of trainers, mentors and job counsellors interested in the employability of vulnerable people. Through skills development, in-company tutors, VET trainers and job counsellors will be able to deliver customised WBL projects for disabled people, in order to compensate for their limited work capacity.
- Developing new disability Management Skills acquired through the project, including pedagogical and andragogical methods, will allow the design and management of tailored training schemes, supporting the effective match of individual abilities, skills and needs with the constraints of different workplaces.
- Design and test new activities aimed to foster the participation to WBL of individuals with different basic activity difficulties (cognitive, psychological, linguistic, regarding sight, hearing and motor disabilities), which will take part in the testing and will provide feedback to the entire realization of project outputs, thanks to an interactive platform that will enable them to communicate constantly their perception of the project-in-the-making ACTIVET plans to achieve these results through the development of the following outputs:
- a comprehensive multimedia product, composed of weblogs, creative contributions, video diaries and a portfolio that will set the basis for the whole project. The research will provide a transnational insight on the situation of WBL for individuals with disabilities, outlining a number of good practices that could provide a reference point; the video materials will be realized by disabled individuals, providing their ideas and insights concerning the main barriers that make employability difficult for them and what could be a strategy to overcome them;
- standardized training pathway for in-company coaches which will provide them with a set of skills to interact appropriately with disabled apprentices (eg: preparing learners for on-the-job experience, keeping them motivated, implementing effective accessibility, compensation or replacement strategies) and “training-employment organizations”(eg: ensuring effective cooperation to encourage integration and permanence in the workplace);
- a consistent piloting activity, that will be conducted by 10 trainers and 20 individuals with disabilities in each of the involved countries, for a total number of 60 trainers and 120 users.
- a handbook containing guidelines for the recognition and validation of informal and non-formal learning acquired in the framework of WBL schemes by disabled people. The handbook will also allow the exportability of the methodology used within the context of the project for the validation of nf/if competencies.
Furthermore, the project develops transnational multilateral partnerships involving social partners, VET/Tertiary Education providers, companies, associations promoting disabled people inclusion and job counsellors, thus contributing to promoting high-quality WBL experiences for disabled learners involving a wide European network.
ANTIDOTE – Alternative Narratives for Tolerance and Intercultural Dialogue to Overcome sTereotypes and spread Equality
In today’s Europe, the extremist or populist movements regularly stigmatize migrants and minorities in their political discourse, amalgamating distinct concepts as well as crisis and migration or terrorism and migration, in order to polarize public opinion. This trend stands in stark contrast to the EU values and aims dedicated to the spread of inter-cultural dialogue by bringing together people of different cultures by giving them the opportunity to participate in common activities.The Europe is experiencing the most significant influxes of migrants in its history. The migration brings diversity and the inter-cultural dialogue is an effective antidote to the spreading of the stereotypes and polarization of the public opinion.These backgrounds create a breeding ground for intolerance and discrimination. It is necessary to act in order to promote diversity, tolerance and the respect of EU values. Against this, ANTIDOTE’s mission is to take action against regular stigmatization of the migrants and minorities, answering to the need to establish a common ground between different cultures and communities by promoting understanding and interaction.Our Network, consisting of local authorities, citizens and recognized NGO’s committed to supporting integration, puts great emphasis on education as the antidote to polarization of the public opinion with the aim to teach citizens the value of tolerance with ambition to actively foster the intercultural dialogue so help in avoiding conflict and the marginalization of migrants and minorities. ANTIDOTE project, with its powerful alternative narratives, will encourage inter-cultural dialogue between EU citizens and migrants, will help to overcome stereotypes by de-constructing processes of stigmatization. It will raise awareness on the richness of the cultural and linguistic environment in EU and promote tolerance, thereby contributing to the development of a respectful, dynamic and multifaceted EU identity.
ADULATION – Adult Education for Social Change
The European Commission perceives as a vital challenge the fact that the European citizens are disengaged and often apathetic and alienated from the traditional forms of politics (especially voting) or organisational membership. For the partners, civic engagement goes beyond traditional politics. We believe that Adult and Community Educators can be better prepared to support the civic engagement of adults and seniors. Thus, we propose an innovative learning environment for the promotion of civic engagement of adults and seniors.
